Divisions

RUSH Late Models

Designed to offer a more cost-effective alternative to the Super Late Model class while still delivering high performance. These cars are equipped with GM 604 crate engines, which are factory-sealed to ensure uniformity throughout the division. This division offers some of the most advanced suspension technology in dirt racing. Formally known as “Super Stocks”, this class has been in weekly action at The Dirt Track since 1984.

Sportsman Modifieds

One of the original divisions hosted by the speedway, Sportsman Modifieds have been in weekly action at The Dirt Track since 1983. Powered by GM 602 crate engines, Sportsman Modifieds feature lightweight frames, an open wheel configuration, and center steer driver location. The class emphasizes close competition and skillful driving, with rules that limit certain modifications to control costs and maintain parity among competitors.

Street Stocks

A cornerstone division of the speedway since it’s inception, the Street Stocks have delivered fast paced racing action at the fairgrounds for over 40 years. Recent rule changes have allowed modern suspension technologies and aftermarket chassis to be integrated into the race vehicles. This class features the largest horsepower to tire width ratio at the speedway, meaning that driver skill is paramount for success.

Mini Stocks

One of the most popular divisions at the speedway, the Mini Stocks feature 4-cylinder engines, full fender bodies as well as front and rear wheel drive options. The Mini Stocks have been a regular class at Genesee since 1996.

Novice Sportsman

Following the same rules as the Sportsman Modifieds, Novice Sportsman is an entry level division for new drivers aspiring to move up the ranks in dirt track racing, while also providing thrilling, wheel-to-wheel action for fans.

Bandits

Designed for the youngest drivers at the speedway, the Bandit division is a stepping stone for anyone looking to eventually move into the adult classes. Following similar rules to the Mini Stocks, this class has proved to be one of the most important by helping mold the skills of future adult class champions.
