Nate Koson Trades Helmet for Microphone at The Dirt Track at Genesee

Nate Koson, a well-known figure in the dirt racing community, is trading in his racing helmet for a microphone as he joins The Dirt Track at Genesee as its new infield reporter. With a background in competing at various area tracks, Koson brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role, which is sure to delight fans and provide a unique perspective on the action unfolding on the track.

Koson, will be responsible for interviewing heat race winners and feature winners. His unique perspective and insight will undoubtedly add depth and excitement to the racing program. But that's not all - he'll also be reporting live from the on track incidents.

The recent upgrade to the sound system at The Dirt Track at Genesee will allow Koson to roam freely around the 3/8 mile track, getting up close and personal with the drivers and providing firsthand accounts of the action on the track. This will enable Koson to deliver live reporting from the scene, putting fans right in the heart of the action.

Koson's transition to infield reporter is a natural fit, given his previous experience providing color commentary alongside track announcer Jeremy Perry in the booth on select nights during the 2024 season. This year, with Koson on board full-time, fans can expect an elevated level of entertainment and excitement.

In a recent interview, Koson shared his enthusiasm for his new role, saying, "I'm looking forward to talking to these drivers weekly and really getting to know them, letting the fans know more than just the number on the side of the car." Koson's passion for storytelling and his ability to connect with drivers and fans alike will undoubtedly make him a fan favorite in his new role.
